Twine Tale

You have activated one of the four hub locations at Rockefeller Chapel! In the Greek myth, Ariadne’s string enables Theseus to trace his way out of the labyrinth of the Minotaur. Create a text-based maze (inclusion of string optional) in Twine that allows a single player or reader to traverse the inside of Rockefeller. A few conditions and constraints:

  1. Your player/reader can begin anywhere outside or inside the building.
  2. Your player/reader should have a reason or motivation for why they are moving through the maze. Are they merely trying to get out? Are they looking for someone?
  3. You can imagine the inside opening up into areas that might not actually exist in our own space-time. There need to be at least four “portals” that take readers into distinctly different times or places.
  4. This labyrinth (and the alternate worlds and times to which it links) cannot be a dystopian space. Instead, something about this space should suggest a “utopia” or “heterotopia”: another world that a Taur or other labyrinth dweller might actually want to reside within!

Submit a link to your Twine build. The 4 most impressive maze designs receive bonus points. All submissions that meet the criteria above will receive 4 quest points. (If you’ve never used Twine, you don’t need a programming background and can learn it quickly here: https://twinery.org/).
