Labyrinth Literature
Cultures from around the globe have had myths about labyrinths, mazes, and generally getting lost. In some cases, labyrinths hold untold treasure, the pathway to eternity, or horrors beyond comprehension. While some of the most famous labyrinths come from ancient myths like those of Daedelus, more recent writers have revisited the concept of the labyrinth, such as Jorge Luis Borges or Mark Z. Danielewski. Even the older myths themselves are being retold, such as in the collection of short stories, xo Orpheus. Drawing on the long history of labyrinths, retell, repurpose, or reinterpret labyrinths however you’d like—in a poem, a painting, a short story, a game—and send it in.
